Affiliates

Norrbotten NEO´s ensemble and opera activities are funded by the Swedish Arts Council, Norrbotten County Council, and Luleå and Piteå communities. The business is located in Studio Acusticum - a studio with a concert hall and a Black Box. Norrbotten NEO also collaborates closely with Lulea University of Technology - Department of Music and Media in research and teaching.

”Piteå Chamber Opera” is part of the NMD - "Northern Sweden Network for Opera and Contemporary Dance", a touring network for opera, musical theatre and dance. Norrbotten NEO has begun a series of collaborations with various institutions. Over the next years NEO will cooperate with Gotland School of Music Composition in several composition projects with young composers, Vadstena Academy in a co-production of the chamber opera "Näsflöjten" and several international projects in the exchange of both opera and ensemble activities.
